August is National Breastfeeding Month! During this month, the Bartholomew County Breastfeeding Coalition celebrates the achievements of mothers meeting their breastfeeding goals. This year's celebration will include the first annual “The Milk Run/Walk 5k” on August 12, 2023. With the support from Columbus Regional Health and La Leche League of Columbus, there will be a celebration immediately following The Milk Run/Walk 5k. The race will take place at 8am on August 12th, 2023, at the Red Bridge on the People Trail (near the Hamilton Ice Rink) heading towards 7th Street. Following the 5K run/walk, there will be a celebration in the grassy space behind the Columbus Regional Health Breast Health Center until 12:00pm. This event allows families to celebrate with activities, food, and music that everyone can enjoy.
