Overview

Dedicated to providing quality, cost effective care since 1987, Southern Indiana Heart & Vascular is the most experienced and respected cardiovascular physician group in South Central Indiana. Our services are offered at convenient locations in Columbus, Greensburg, Seymour and North Vernon, Indiana, where we work in collaboration with primary care physicians and area hospitals to address the needs of our patients, keeping them close to home.

The cardiologists and staff of Southern Indiana Heart and Vascular are pleased to welcome you as our patient. We are committed to offering the most advanced diagnostic methods of care in a compassionate and personalized manner.

OFFICE VISITS - Our cardiologists see patients in the office by appointment only.  We have office locations in Columbus, Greensburg, North Vernon, and Seymour.  To schedule an appointment call us at 812-379-2020 or use our toll free number 800-537-9587.

In order for you to be seen at your scheduled appointment time we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time for intake.

We ask that you please bring ALL of your medications (instead of a list) to ALL office visits so we can confirm doses and relabel bottles if medication instructions are changed.

Also, upon your arrival, at every visit we will ask you to answer some yes/no questions.  This information helps us address your concerns and symptoms most effectively.  Your assistance with this is very much appreciated.

If you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, please call our office at least 24 hours in advance.  Your consideration will make it possible to schedule another patient who is waiting to see one of our cardiologists.

If this is your first appointment, please bring any relevant medical records (particularly any test results or information related to your heart).  We also request that you bring your insurance cards (including addresses and numbers necessary for claim filing).

In keeping with our policy to protect our patients from identity theft we will ask you to verify your demographic information and show us your photo ID and insurance cards at each visit.

TELEPHONE CALLS – Our telephone is answered daily from 8-4:30.

Whether you want to pay a bill or need help affording your bill, we're here to help with that and more.

You will be notified of test results either by phone, mail, or at your next scheduled appointment, depending upon what kind of testing was performed.

You will receive prompt notification of any results that require immediate attention, otherwise please allow 7-10 days for test completion.

If at any time you have additional questions, feel free to make an appointment with the doctor. If you do not receive notification of your results in the above time frame, please call the office to inquire about them.

To obtain a medication refill, contact your local pharmacy. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours to process your request. Refills are not authorized after hours or on weekends.

Please evaluate your medication supply prior to your office visit and request refills at your visit.

If you have not seen your doctor within the recommended time frame for follow-up, you may need an appointment before refills can be authorized.

If you require medical attention after the office is closed, you can reach the doctor on call through the Columbus Regional Hospital operator at (812) 379-4441.

Please do not call after hours for:

  • Test results.
  • Appointment needs.
  • Medication change requests, unless you are having a reaction.

If you have a true medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
