Fitness Classes

The Wellness Center at Mill Race Center will re-open on Monday June 15 at 6:30am. We will be following all of the guidelines set forth by the CDC and Indiana Governor Holcomb to support your safety in our facility and during our programs.

We will be limiting the number of Fitness Center participants to maintain appropriate physical distancing. We will also begin to offer limited classes with appropriate physical distancing.

If all goes well, we hope to expand services in early July. Below is an outline of what we can do together to ensure your health and safety during your visit.

  • Health Screening at the entrance of Mill Race Center, including temperature check.
  • Hand sanitizer will be made available throughout the building.
  • Weight machines have been placed 6 feet apart and other equipment has been rearranged to maintain safe distance. 
  • Partitions have been placed between appropriate machines.
  • Distancing tape has been placed on the floor in classrooms to assist with proper participant spacing.
  • All staff, patients, and Wellness Members are required to wear a mask at all times (even to and from the parking lot). Masking is optional ONLY for Wellness Members while working out. 
  • Staff will check you in to provide “no contact” attendance tracking.
  • Fans have been removed to limit the possible spread of disease.
  • Staff will be cleaning equipment, high touch areas, and partitions regularly throughout the day.
  • If you have a fever or have had one in the past 72 hours, please stay home. · If you or someone in your home is sick, please stay home.
  • Stop at the MRC entrance for temperature check or health screen. · Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before entering and exiting the facility.
  • Maintain physical distancing (6ft. or more) as much as possible while in our facility
  • All staff, patients, and Wellness Members are required to wear a mask at all times (even to and from the parking lot). Masking is optional ONLY for Wellness Members while working out.
  • Please bring your own mask--if you do not have one, one will be provided. · Limit your workout to an hour or less.
  • Avoid lingering / socializing in the building to allow others their turn due to limited occupancy. · Wipe down equipment before and after each use.
  • Consider bringing a small towel to use to wipe your face to prevent you from touching your face during your work out.
  • Please bring your own water and water bottle. There will be no cups available.
  • Facility Yoga mats have been removed, please bring your own (even Fitness Center clients). · Avoid the locker rooms except for essential restroom needs.
  • Regular workout cards will not be available. If you need yours, ask a staff member to make a copy for you.
  • Required check in with instructor for attendance - (insurance documentation).
  • Advance registration is required by calling your instructor for all classes in order to reserve your spot in class Space is limited.
  • When attending a class, please do not arrive early, allow just enough time to get into the class & get your spot.

Based on CDC guidelines, if you are 65 or older and have pre-existing health issues, you are considered most at-risk and should seriously consider waiting to return to the Wellness Center until further notice.
