Robotic Surgery

Our goal at Columbus Regional Health is to perform procedures as well as any hospital in the country.

The da Vinci Surgical System ,Mako Smartrobotics and Cone Beam CT Guided Robotic bronchoscopy give us this capability.

We are very proud to be able to offer our patients the benefits that the acquisition of this technology offers.

The minimally invasive surgery we are able to provide leveraging robotic capabilities means smaller incisions, faster healing times, improved patient outcomes and shorter hospital stays.

Faster healing after robotics-assisted surgeries.

Advances in surgical technology have made robotics-assisted surgery the most effective way to accomplish many common procedures in a less invasive and therefore less painful way.

Our use of the robotic system has quickly emerged as a clearly better option, from both a patient’s perspective and from a surgeon’s standpoint, than what many traditional surgeries and conventional laparoscopic procedures can offer.

da Vinci Robotic Surgery

Columbus Regional Health is committed to providing our patients the best in surgical care using da Vinci robotic technology for gynecology, urology, and general surgery specialties.

Benefits of this system include:

  • Streamlined setup and positioning
  • Optimized patient-side access
  • Increased range of instrument motion
  • Advanced instrumentation
  • Enhanced visualization

Almost all of our gynecological procedures are performed with the aid of robotics.

Because hysterectomy is the second most common surgical procedure for women in the U.S., this is a predictable need in our community. Some estimates say that one third of women in the U.S. will have a hysterectomy by age 60.

In order to provide state-of-the-art care in this arena, our gynecological surgeons all operate with the aid of robotics. They have gained comprehensive experience in the use of robotic surgery and are able to treat a wide range of gynecological conditions and cancer.
