Columbus Regional Health was honored with the 2026 PRC Healthcare Leadership Award for Community Impact.
Presented during the PRC Healthcare Experience Summit on October 8, the award recognizes CRH’s commitment as a top-performing organization that reflects PRC's dedication to healthcare excellence. The PRC Healthcare Leadership Awards celebrate organizations and individuals who demonstrate vision, innovation, and compassion in improving the healthcare experience for patients, employees, physicians, and communities nationwide.
CRH has taken a strategic approach to community health since 1996 when the organization committed to creating and sustaining its Healthy Communities Initiative, Healthy Communities Council, and Healthy Communities action teams. The Healthy Communities Initiative was designed to achieve radical improvement in the long-term quality of life in our region through local action. This is accomplished by collaborating with a diverse network of partners to develop and respond to data-driven community priorities. Those priorities are identified through the conduct of a Community Health Needs Assessment which has been completed since 1996.
The PRC Community Impact Award highlighted CRH’s collaborative work around the following areas: Maternal and Infant Health, Medication Assistance Program, the Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress in Bartholomew County, Mental Health Matters, and NexusPark.
