Please share your story of why your nurse is so special:
"Being an emergency department nurse is one of the most difficult jobs. A nurse who I see continually providing compassionate care is Hillary. Most recently Hillary took care of a pediatric patient having a harrowing experience. Despite the high-risk complicated situation, Hillary remained professional, caring, and so sweet to this child.
I observed her make critical decisions that saved this child’s life and mitigated a challenging circumstance. Hillary took a lead role and ensured every role was assigned to verify nothing was missed. The relationship I witnessed her create with this patient made the patient calm, feel safe, and not afraid.
During this patient care, I was confident Hillary was the best nurse to care for this child. She has gone above the requirements of her position and has obtained THREE emergency certifications with one being Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse. How lucky was this child that Hillary was working that day and assigned to the most critical room?
Being an emergency room patient is usually one of the most terrifying days in the patient’s life and having Hillary’s caring personality puts the patient at ease knowing they are receiving the absolute best care possible. During the care of this patient, I was so proud to see Hillary advocate for this child who couldn’t speak for themselves. She collaborated with other professionals with the common goal of keeping this child safe, healthy, and able to survive something that was life-threatening. Seeing Hillary’s care for this patient makes me so confident that she is providing exceptional care but also educating other staff. She is an amazing role model and an inspiration."
