Please share your story of why your nurse is so special:
“Monica had a patient who experienced cardiac arrest then regained circulation. The patient’s family was at the bedside and requested to have the patient removed from life support. Family was around the patient and requested a bouquet of flowers for a ceremony. Monica attempted to get flowers from the gift shop. However, the gift shop was already closed. She then tried to get flowers from the NAC and Security/CRH Police, but both were busy. Monica called the floors, and luckily 3T had some. She went and got them and gave them to the family.
The family had a wedding ceremony for the patient’s son and his fiancé at the patient’s bedside. The patient was still intubated. Monica filmed the ceremony for the family. The patient's eyes even blinked a few times during the ceremony. Monica stayed with the family at the bedside while the patient was being extubated. She went above and beyond to help a dying patient see her son get married. This was a special day for the family and patient before the patient ultimately passed away.
Thank you, Monica, for always having a heart for your patients!” "
