Lisa Parker August 2021 DAISY Award Honoree

Please share your story of why your nurse is so special:

"Our mother was a patient in the cath lab a few weeks ago for what we planned to be an outpatient procedure of placing two heart stents.

Sadly, after the heart cath they brought our mother back to the room with the shocking news she isn’t a candidate. It was more involved and she would need heart bypass surgery.

We all were shocked and scared. From the moment my mother checked in and was taken back by Nurse Lisa Parker, until the moment we left she was there for all of us.

She wore a smile under that mask you could feel through her eyes. She had a calmness about her that put us all at ease.

She possessed all the skills needed to thoroughly do her job as a nurse and then some.

She worked tirelessly to get as much done that would be needed for the surgery while we were there.

She was diligent and very knowledgeable. She not only took the time to answer any questions, but helped explain what we didn’t understand and calm our fears.

She has the heart of a servant.

She was kind, compassionate and devoted to my mother while in her care.

My mother herself said “I felt like royalty when she cared for me”.

I have had many encounters with many nurses. However, Lisa Parker is amazing!!

We felt so blessed to have been lucky enough to have her care for our mother.

Thank you for going above and beyond for not only our mother, but all of us.

It didn’t go unnoticed.”
