Phyllis began her medical career as an Army medic. After starting a family, she returned to the workforce as an EMT and also earned her Masters of Nursing American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (NP) certification. She has worked as a hospital NP, in post-acute rehab, and in ambulatory care. Her years of experience at the bedside and intensive academic training has provided her a unique blend of experience in providing compassionate care for patients and families, as well as learned and developed critical thinking skills. Phyllis has two children and several grandchildren and is passionate about family, community, and faith.
