Biography
Dr. Chintam provides care for kidney disease patients at Columbus Regional Hospital and Columbus Regional Health Nephrology and Hypertension. He is board-certified in internal medicine, obesity medicine and nephrology.
Dr. Chintam graduated from NTR University of Health Sciences, India. He has completed residency training in internal medicine at Texas Tech. He also completed fellowship training in nephrology at Geisinger Medical Center. In addition, he has worked as a hospitalist in rural Missouri. During the practice of internal medicine, Dr. Chintam was well-connected to patients with kidney diseases.
His clinical interest include obesity-related kidney diseases, acute kidney injury requiring various dialysis treatments, glomerular diseases, and electrolyte abnormalities. He wrote an in-practice review article, "Strategies to Treat Obesity in Patients with CKD," that was published in the American Journal of Kidney Disease.
Dr. Chintam is married and has two children, a daughter and a son. He loves spending time with them.
