Bash to Beat Cancer presented by Buns & Beards Beauty Lounge is open to the public and is an exclusive event to raise money for out of pocket expenses that some cancer center patients may experience while going through treatment at Columbus Regional Health's Cancer Center.   In the past years, between gas cards, cash donations, and funds raised from the event, they were able to give cancer patients peace of mind during an already tough time. This year their goal is to raise $8,000!

There will be food trucks, vendors, a silent auction, hair tinsel, hair feathers, a bounce house and more! All vendors are donating a percentage of their sales to the CRH Foundation Cancer Center fund as well as silent auction proceeds and t-shirt sales. Stop by for a few minutes or stay for the afternoon to help raise awareness and support for a great cause!

All proceeds go to the CRH Cancer Center through the CRH Foundation and will be used to provide additional support to those cancer patients that are in need in our community.

Common Items Not Covered By Insurance: (These are the most needed items for some cancer patients that most times they cannot afford or are not covered by insurance.)
  • Compound medications not frequently covered by insurance (i.e. Mary’s Magic Mouthwash). Walgreens gift cards preferred as only limited pharmacies will provide this type of prescription.
  • Transportation Gas cards - Kroger, Circle K
  • Wigs or soft cotton knit hats - Depending on insurance may provide wig coverage. Traditional Medicare does not provide coverage. Routinely patients have to pay for the wig up front, then request reimbursement through a lengthy process with insurance. Hats are not covered by insurance. The soft cotton are the most requested hats.
  • Nutritional Supplements - Coverage by insurance depends on the insurance type, documented weight loss and the amount of supplementation required.
  • Incontinence supplies - usually not covered by insurance
  • Transportation costs to get them to and from their appointments.
